John Adams was an American statesman, lawyer, representative, author, and Founding Father who served in as the second leader of the United States. Prior to his administration, he was a pioneer of the American Revolution that accomplished autonomy from Great Britain and filled in as the main VP of the United States.
A legal counselor and political extremist before the revolution, Adams was given to one side to advice and presumption of honesty. Adams was the essential creator of the Massachusetts Constitution in 1780, which impacted the United States' own constitution, as did his prior Thoughts on Government.
Adams was chosen for two terms as VP under President George Washington and was chosen as the United States' second president in 1796. He was the sole, president chose under the standard of the Federalist Party. Adams marked the controversial Alien and Sedition Acts and developed the Army and Navy in the undeclared "Quasi-War" with France.
